ANALISIS PENGARUH RETURN ON EQUITY (ROE), GROWTH DAN SIZE TERHADAP DIVIDEND PER SHARE (DPS) BANK DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2018-2022
Abstract
This study aims to analyze Return on Equity (ROE), Growth and Size on Dividend per Share (DPS) of Banks in Indonesia in the periods 2018-2022.
The research methodology used is quantitative method with time series and cross section data for 5 years. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling method with secondary data, namely in the form of financial statements of banking companies in 2018-2022. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression by conducting statistical tests, namely the classical assumption test, hypothesis testing and the coefficient of determination to test the significance of the effect together with a significance level of 5%.
The results of this study indicate that partially the variable Return on Equity (ROE) has a positive effect, Growth has a negative effect, and while Size has a significant effect on Dividend per Share (DPS). Meanwhile, simultaneously the independent variables Return on Equity (ROE), Growth, and Size together have a significant relationship to the dependent variable, namely Dividend per Share (DPS). The coefficient of determination of this study shows a figure of 76%, indicating that the variation of the independent variables Return on Equity (ROE), Growth, and Size is able to explain the variation in the rise and fall of the dependent variable Dividend per Share (DPS) by 76%, while the remaining 24% is influenced by other independent variables
