ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN FINANCIAL DISTRESS PADA PT. GARUDA INDONESIA, TBK DAN PT. AIRASIA INDONESIA, TBK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE ALTMAN Z-SCORE TAHUN 2016-2020

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analysis the comparative of financial distress at PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk and PT. AirAsia Indonesia, Tbk using the Altman Z-Score method in 2016-2020. The method of this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach using secondary data such as financial statements report by the company obtained from Indonesia Stock Exchange. The technique of collecting data uses purposive sampling method with sample PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk and PT. AirAsia Indonesia, Tbk with annual data from 2016-2020.The results of this study indicate that the level of financial distress of PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk from 2016 to 2020 was in a state of bankruptcy. Likewise with the level of financial distress PT. AirAsia Indonesia, Tbk from 2016 to 2020 was in a state of bankruptcy. Based on the Altman Z-Score method, PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk and PT. AirAsia Indonesia, Tbk both produced a score of Z < 1.1 which indicates that they are in a state of bankruptcy, but when compared from their financial performance, PT. AirAsia Indonesia, Tbk showed a better performance
